Cultural Policy Research Institute
Tarbut Movement founded the Israeli Institute for Culture Policy in 2018 as a platform for independent research and promoting public policy in the cultural field in Israel. The institute operates under the organizational and financial structure of Tarbut’s central association and includes five team members leading both analytic and field projects.
The main mission of the Institute is to establish new, high-quality infrastructures of knowledge in the field of culture, arts, and creativity, applied in research and actions promoting the cultural participation of the all parts of Israeli society. Using:
- Research, and public discourse: founding platforms for public discourse in Israel in the field of cultural policy, promoting discussions and collaborations parallel international institutes and organizations, and representing Israeli cultural policy on existing international platforms.
- Public policy: providing high-quality knowledge to decision and policy makers and promoting resolutions by using political and professional leverage.
- Civil Society: encouraging, assisting, and accompanying various civil society initiatives, building partnerships with cultural organizations, and founding new ones to promote and apply policy programs.
